
Pay: $12/Hour (Contractual/No Benefits)
General Description: The primary responsibility of a Fisheries Telephone Interviewer is to collect fisheries data over the telephone using a Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) system. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, calling fishing license holders and/or permit holders, reading questions from the CATI and entering data, interacting with fishery constituents to increase survey participation, and following other survey requirements.
Specific Description: Telephone call attempts after each reporting week must be completed prior to the next dialing week. Telephone interviews must be conducted with those Respondents that are contacted to obtain information on fishing effort (trips). A minimum number of attempts to reach each potential survey respondent must be made each survey week.
Supervision: Fisheries Telephone Interviewers report directly to the Program Manager and the Data Manager.
Qualifications/Required Education, Experience, and Skills: Part-time Fisheries Telephone Interviewers must have working knowledge of computers, must be able to use QuanTech’s custom Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) system, have excellent verbal, written, math, motivational, and communication skills. Fisheries Telephone Interviewers must also have the ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks, manage their time effectively, and have the ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
Work is performed in QuanTech’s Headquarters in Arlington, VA.

Monday: 5pm-9pm
Tuesday: 5pm-9pm
Wednesday: 5pm -9pm
Thursday: 5pm -9pm
